Our dear friend, member and Trustee Mike Ryan passed away this past Sunday. Mike was a good man and long time member of our club. Over the past years, Mike had served in various positions on our committee. He was most recently serving as Trustee. He was a dear friend to all who knew him. The Scots club extends its heart felt condolences to the Ryan family. For those who wish to pay thier respects, the arrangements are:

2012 NYC Tartan Day Parade

Join us on Saturday April 14th for our 4th annual trip to the NYC Tartan Day Parade…. Once again the Scots Club will be participating in the parade as it marches down 6th Ave. The great day begins bright and early at the club with a continental breakfast followed by our bus trip to NYC. Plenty of time to enjoy some lunch and grab a few pints in the local pubs prior to the parade. Then come line up with us as we march down 6th ave proudly displaying the Scots Club banner or just cheer us on from the sidelines as we pass……!! After the parade you can catch some of the best pipe bands around in a great “street jam” session or just follow our crowd as we continue our celebration in a local pub. Have no fear…… the bus will get you back to the club safe and sound!!! The cost of the trip is 25.00 and includes breakfast at the club and bus to and from the parade. Everyone is welcome.

Welcome all to 2012. I’m both honored and excited to be your President for this upcoming year. You have elected a fine committee and I am confident that together we will continue to make your club the best around.

Please join me in extending a big heart felt thank you to Mike Gray for his past three years serving us as President. Under his leadership, the club has seen many improvements such as the remodel of Jake Bradley Hall and the installation of our new smoke alarm system.

The committee will continue to plan events though out the year for your entertainment. It is through everyone’s support of these functions that we are able to keep our club viable and operating at a high level. A few things you can look forward to this year are our St Patty’s day celebration, Tartan Day bus ride to the NYC parade, a day at the races in Monmouth Park, our annual golf outing, our annual banquet and many more in between. I am asking all our members to come out to these events and bring a few guests. They are always welcome. We count on your support. Details for all events can be found on this website and facebook.

Please remember that the dues for 2012 are now $60.00 and are currently due. We ask you to make your payment early. The membership dues are critical to the club. We use the funds to pay our real estate taxes and insurance. Please pay now and don’t let your name appear on the dreaded delinquent list. Delinquent members will have their club privileges suspended until they are paid up.

Lastly, this your club. Come out and support it. You’ll ALWAYS have a good time!!!!!!

A Day at the Races

Join us for a day at the races. The club will be holding its annual trip to Monmouth Park Racetrack. Trip will include bus transportation, admission to the park with food and beverages all at a trackside section of the Picnic Area. Check back often for updates with times and prices.
